Both chambers of Parliament supported waiving mandatory social security payments for self-employed persons
The government will waive payments of the mandatory social security made by self-employed persons for six months, and this will be applied retroactively from March 2020. The proposed bill was presented by the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Jana Maláčová. Parliament approved the proposal in the emergency legislation regime on 24 March, and the Senate approved it on 25 March 2020.
